“Mountain Valley” (2025)
This painting was very much a process, evolving through multiple versions before it finally settled into its current form. I wanted to capture the sense of space that opens up when being in the mountains—this feeling of wide open spaces while the landscape stretches far into the distance. The two ravens serve as quiet companions. With these two birds, essentially, I was just trying to ground the scene and adding a sense of scale. This painting is not a depiction of a specific place or photograph, but rather a memory-driven composition, shaped from places I have seen in Scandinavia and the Rocky Mountains.
