I’m glad you’re here. My journey as an artist began at a later stage in life, but my fascination with nature and wildlife has been with me for as long as I can remember. Long before I ever picked up a brush seriously, I was drawn to the beauty of wild places and animals, especially in the Canadian North. Painting became my way of giving those moments a voice.

I am a German-Canadian and I’ve spent many years working as an ecologist and consultant in the Canadian North. Those experiences in the vast and open spaces and encounters with wildlife left a lasting imprint on me. I hold deep respect for the traditional lands of Indigenous Peoples who have lived in relationship with these lands for millenia. In those places, I learned to truly appreciate space, and the power of the natural world. Currently, when in Canada, I’m spending most of my time with my family in Nova Scotia.

As a wildlife and landscape artist, my purpose is to create work that allows you to celebrate and express your own love for wildlife and wild places. I want my paintings to speak to the heart—to capture not only the beauty of nature, but also its vulnerability and the goal to protect it.
